Dolanna, in the quiet hamlet of Bwlch y Fadfa near Talgarreg, is set in stunning countryside, within easy reach of the beautiful West Wales coastline where it is possible to see the bottlenose dolphins play.

Located near our other property, Brynmeillion, which makes an ideal combination if an extended family or two families wish to visit the area,

Dolanna has a garden where you can sit and enjoy the fresh air while the Red Kites fly overhead as they nest nearby. 

The recently refurbished property is all on one level and can be accessed with a wheelchair as there are no steps to negotiate, although the garden at the rear of the property is on a raised level with access via steps.

There is off road tarmac parking for 2 cars.

There are supermarkets in easy reach or you could make use of the Tesco home delivery service to the door.  Just book your slot on line and arrange your groceries to be delivered to this address when you arrive. 

Locally you will find numerous restaurants, taverns, takeaways and farm shops to suit a variety of tastes, some of them award winning establishments.

Accommodation

Dolanna sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms with all the accommodation on one level. 

The property is equipped for 4 people with the dining area, which seats four, located in the kitchen at the front of the property.  The bedrooms are located to one side with the bathroom off the hallway. 

To the rear of the property you will find a comfortable lounge with TV and wood burner to enjoy your relaxing break. The lounge also has an original tiled fireplace and quarry tiled floor which is partially covered with a beautiful warm rug.  

Proceeding through the lounge you will find the conservatory where you can sit, relax and unwind. The cottage also houses a modern hot tub in which to wallow and relax.

Bedroom 1 has a beautiful Ash double bed and has wonderful views across the countryside. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds (or 1 king size bed if preferred, please confirm when booking which option you prefer). 

The spacious bathroom has a bath, a double separate shower cubicle and a wash hand basin.  Next to the bathroom is the walk-in airing cupboard and washer dryer.  Overhead is a lovely wooden clothes airer.

The property has carpeted bedrooms and lino flooring in the kitchen, with the quarry floor in the lounge. Dolanna is heated by oil-fired boiler and a wood burner which gives the property a homely feel.

Outside the property

Located outside the property via steps is the lovely cottage garden with a grass area followed by an area of wild fruit bushes and apple trees.  At the top end of the garden there is a small unfenced fish pond - of which small children should be made aware . 

A BBQ and picnic table is available for you to enjoy your outdoor wining and dining. A rotary clothes line is also available.
